Not all tallow is created equal. All of our products excluding our soaps are made with grass-fed, grass-finished suet tallow which is superior for skincare as it contains notably higher levels of beneficial nutrients like omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, D, E, and K, and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which enhance skin health and hydration. This type of tallow closely mirrors human sebum, making it highly compatible and effective for moisturizing without clogging pores.

It aids in the production of collagen helping to enhance skin elasticity, making it appear firmer and more youthful while also helping to speed up the skins natural healing process. It works with our sebaceous glands and doesn't block pores. Its antimicrobial qualities prevent bacteria, fungus, and viruses from spreading and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), helps reduce inflammation and improve skin texture. The antioxidants in this type of tallow protect the skin from environmental stressors and free radicals. GRASS-FED, GRASS-FINISHED REGULAR (Standard) TALLOW?

Both share similar core benefits, but differ significantly in nutrient density, purity, texture, and odor.

Suet Tallow: refers to the hard nutrient-dense fat that encases the kidneys and loins, establishing it as the "gold standard" in skincare due to its superior quality. Higher concentration of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K2), conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and Omega-3s. Suet provides a firmer, more stable, and less greasy tallow, with a very mild, neutral, and practically odorless once rendered. It's naturally lower in impurities.

Our moisturizers, lip balm, and deodorants are formulated using grass-fed, grass-finished suet tallow.

Regular (Standard) Tallow: is often obtained from general muscle or trim fats. It's a good moisturizer, but contains lower overall concentrations of these vitamins. Furthermore, it generally has a noticeable "beefy" scent. It requires more extensive filtering and rendering to remove excess moisture, proteins and odor.

Each of our soaps is crafted from grass-fed, grass-finished (standard) tallow, which we render in-house.
